Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and Licensed Full-Time Child and Adolescent Behavioral Therapist to join our client's team near Hobbs, NM. This role involves providing critical mental health services in an acute environment, including conducting comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status exams, treatment plans, and crisis intervention. As part of a collaborative team, you will play a vital role in promoting the well-being of young clients while contributing to their mental health recovery journey.

Position Highlights

As a Child and Adolescent Behavioral Therapist, you will:

  • Present findings on mental status and patient risk
  • Prepare detailed clinical reports, including treatment plans and mental status evaluations.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions and crisis intervention services tailored to each client.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to review case progress, refine therapeutic techniques, and ensure quality care.
  • Manage a caseload that includes complex cases, offering direct clinical interventions and outreach to support clients effectively.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A masters degree in psychology, social work, or a related field (licensure required) .
  • Must be licensed in one of the following: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LMHC, LPCC
  • Strong clinical skills for conducting assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
  • Exceptional communication and emotional intelligence to engage with clients and their families.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex cases.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health settings is highly preferred.
  • Certification/experience with play therapy is preferred
