Job Description

A top multi-disciplinary interior design firm is seeking a highly motivated and detailed oriented fulltime position for Jr Designer / Design Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with our design staff to assist with all aspects of the design process, from concept development to project completion. Ideal candidates should possess at least 1 year of working in a highend design firm.

Position Requirements

· Maintain material and sample library, files, and overall office organization.

· Help maintain a neat and organized office.

· Pitch in to help when necessary for deadlines.

· Create meeting minutes to circle to design team, all trades, and clients.

· Take notes at all meetings and type meeting minutes to be distributed to the project team.

· Help with all design presentation to clients.

· Personal errands for design principals.

· Help with all project installs.

· Assist design team with all design related activities such as preparing for presentations and product research.

· Liaise with vendors and clients.

· Shop online and in person for items to be used in the design of projects, as needed.

· Collaborate with project Installation.

· Assist in the management of project timelines through Studio Designer Status Report.

· Travel to and from project sites, assist with installation and styling of project.

Skills and Experience

· Administrative skills – Answer all phone calls and email messages to all staff if they are not available.

· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Pages. Experienced with Adobe Creative suite, Photoshop / Illustrator is a bonus!
