Ryder is hiring a CDL A Regional Liquid Tanker Driver in Detroit, MI. Ryder regional drivers can anticipate quality home time with family and friends while usually being home through the week and/or on weekends or a combination of both. A regional truck driving job typically consists of moving freight within a region that encompasses the surrounding areas. Compensation:

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,600- $2,000
  • Solo Miles Pay: 62 CPM with 1600 - 2000 Miles per Week
  • Solo Stops Pay: $50 per stop with 1-3 stops per trip
  • Per Diem Pay: $45 per night with 2-3 nights per week
• Bonuses
  • Safety Bonus: Pays You $4,500; $1,500 at 3 months, $1,500 at 6 months and $1,500 at 9 months
  • Unlimited driver referral bonuses
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

• Home Time: Home multiple days weekly, out 2-3 nights per week
• Monday – Friday; Rotating Sunday Dispatch as needed
• Start time: 3AM - 6AM
• Route: OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, MN, and Upstate NY
• Freight: Touch – Driver will connect hoses and pressurize trailer

Equipment:

• Liquid Tanker Trailer
• Sleeper, Manual Transmission
  • Cannot accept automatic restriction
• 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A License
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Must have 1 year of Tanker experience
• Must have tanker/hazmat endorsement
• Can not have automatic restriction
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Must live within 30 miles of Detroit, MI
