Wilberforce University is seeking a results-driven Adult Degree Program Recruiter with exceptional interpersonal skills, a deep commitment to the universitys mission, and a strong understanding of the needs of adult learners.

This position plays a pivotal role in identifying, recruiting, and enrolling qualified students into our adult degree and graduate degree programs. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of prospective students, develop relationships with educational institutions, and work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.

The Adult Degree Program Recruiter will work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment Management and a team of dedicated professionals to create a student-centered recruitment approach. This role requires a creative and enthusiastic individual who can foster relationships, effectively communicate the benefits of Wilberforce Universitys programs, and drive enrollment growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit potential students for Wilberforces adult degree and graduate programs, including the RISE program.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community colleges, school districts, teacher education projects, and universities in Ohio and surrounding states.
• Coordinate and participate in recruitment events such as college fairs, information sessions, and community outreach activities.
• Communicate with prospective students via phone, email, and in-person meetings to provide information about program offerings and answer questions.
• Assist students through the application and enrollment process, ensuring clarity about program features and benefits.
• Collaborate with Enrollment Services (Financial Aid, Advising, and Student Success) and the Graduate School to support student enrollment and retention efforts.
• Track recruitment metrics, monitor progress, and report outcomes to management.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in adult learner recruitment.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in education, marketing, or a related field; a masters degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in student recruitment and enrollment, preferably in higher education.
• Experience in K-12 or community college education is a plus.
• Valid drivers license and dependable vehicle for travel.
