Administrative Assistant


Applications are now being accepted for an Administrative Assistant in Fleet Services at the Ada County Highway District. Starting wage is $20.80 - $23.90 per hour, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of advanced administrative and clerical tasks including answering phones, tracking purchase orders and invoices, tracking the Fleet Department budget, coordinating procurement activities with other departments, maintaining vehicle maintenance databases, working with vendors, preparing specification agreements, retrieving information off of equipment, preparing work orders, etc.

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and support the department’s transition to modern tools and technologies. Adapt readily to change while fostering efficiency and innovation within Fleet Services.

Qualifications:


  • The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to deal effectively with the public, and have a good knowledge of electronic filing and organizational systems as well as general office practices and procedures. This position requires proficiency in Word, Excel, and database entry.

  • Or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities are acceptable.
